Curriculum Vitae
Martina Schmidhuber studied philosophy at the University of Salzburg and worked there as a university assistant. After completing her doctorate in Salzburg in 2010, she researched and taught on medical ethics at the Hannover Medical School (MHH), the University of Bielefeld, and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. She habilitated in 2018 in the field of "Ethics and Theory of Medicine" at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Subsequently, she was a visiting researcher in Norway at the National Norwegian Center for Aging and Health, and at the University Hospital Oslo. Most recently she worked at the Tirol Clinics and at the Health University of Applied Sciences in Innsbruck. Since autumn 2019, she has been a professor for Health Care Ethics at the University of Graz.
Martina Schmidhuber is the editor of the magazine for practical philosophy (together with Gottfried Schweiger and Michael Zichy), in which focal points on the topics of aging and dementia appear again and again: www.praktische-philosophie.org
Among other, she is a member of the "Aging & Ethics" working group at the Academy for Ethics in Medicine.
