The Age and Care Research Group Graz places its inter- and transdisciplinary research work at the service of the universities' social engagement in order to better understand and plan the future of age(ing). Scientifically relevant knowledge must also be generated and organised in interaction and intelligent generation processes with relevant social actors.

The Research Group sees itself as a connection point for practitioners and wants to facilitate a good and productive cooperation between experts from practice, economy, society and researchers from the four universities. It actively promotes inter- and transdisciplinary networking and exchange and thus forms a platform for the connection of knowledge, expertise and experience from different social realities.

With the aim of working on adequate solutions for concrete social realities in interdisciplinary and interprofessional cooperation, it bundles this knowledge, but also works to raise awareness among social actors for issues related to aging and care, thus realizing the university's "Third Mission".
