After a year-long stint at the University of Salzburg and dabbling in philosophy, Christian transferred to the University of Graz to study English and American Studies. After receiving his BA and joint degree MA from Graz and spending 6 months at the City College of New York, he then pursued his PhD with a dissertation on transhumanism in science fiction, which he successfully defended in 2022. This interdisciplinary work has also earned him the Gabriela-Moser Stipendium 2019/20.
