Wijk Helle

University of Gothenburg
Helle Wijk is a professor of Nursing and the deputy head of the Institute of Health and Care Sciences of the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her research focuses on health and care sciences, dementia, nursing, physiotherapy, geriatrics, disability, and health policy and economics. She received her PhD degree in Geriatric Medicine from the University of Gothenburg, and holds a masters degree in Caring Science and Pedagogy from the University of Gothenburg. Since 1982, Wijk has been a registered nurse. She has published widely on the intersections of health, care, and the environment. Currently, she is a Guest professor at the Center for Health Care Architecture at the Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.
