Ulla Kriebernegg: "Rethinking Images of Aging Together: Possibilities and Limits of Citizen Participation in Aging and Care Research"
About the lecture: This lecture deals with the diversity of social images of age and the identity category "age" as an intersectional category. The lecture takes a critical look at age discrimination and discusses interactions with other categories of difference such as gender, social origin and ethnicity, which can affect opportunities for social participation. Furthermore, selected projects from aging and care research are presented, in which research is carried out together with older people in order to be able to develop more diverse images of the late phase of life as well as ideas and measures for a good life in old age.
