The annual conference of the ÖGGG 2023 (Austrian Society for Geriatrics and Gerontology) took place this year on the topic "Trends in geriatrics and gerontology." During the conference, it was discussed how much our expertise, our technologies and the requirements for medical, nursing, therapeutic, and social services are changing.
The Age and Care Research Group was represented by Lena Maria Lampersberger, Gerhilde Schüttengruber, Ulla Kriebernegg, and Regina Roller-Wirnsberger. The contribution by Regina Roller-Wirnsberger (Med Uni Graz) took place on the topic „Practical application in chronic kidney failure". Gerhilde Schüttengruber, Silvia Bauer and Lena Maria Lampersberger (all from the Institute for Nursing Science) gave a lecture „The actual extent of care dependency among our oldest old". Ulla Kriebernegg (Uni Graz) gave a lecture titled „Literary gerontological perspectives on vulnerability and resistance: 'Successful Frailty' in the nursing home novel“.
