Dissertation: "Literary Foodscapes"

My dissertation project focuses on representations and discourses of foodscapes in American literature, and analyzes how food can create spaces and places for intergenerational exchange.

Curriculum Vitae

Eva-Maria Trinkaus is a doctoral student of American Literary Studies and Critical Age Studies at the University of Graz, Austria, researching American Literature with a focus on food, age, and place. Currently, she is responsible for the project management of the Age and Care Research Group Graz, and is a research associate in the "App-solute News" research project. She graduated from the University of Graz in English Linguistics (BA) and American Literature (MA). Her dissertation research is on "Foodscapes" in American literature. From 2015 to 2018, she was the project manager for the "Graz International Summer School Seggau" and the "Comparative Healthcare in Austria and the US" project. During her research and teaching as a Fulbright scholar at Bowling Green State University, Ohio, USA, she used the method of Digital Storytellin for teaching language and culture. She was a research assistant in the "Who Cares? Rethinking Age/ing and Care" research project, and has been an executive board member of the European Network in Aging Studies (ENAS) since 2019. She works as a researcher at the CIRAC (Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Aging and Care) at the University of Graz.
