My research focuses on social gerontology, particularly the socio-economic determinants of physical health, functioning, frailty and subjective wellbeing but also health and care-utilisation as well as end-of-life decisions. I work with data from a number of national and cross-national population-based health and ageing surveys as well as with administrative and clinical databases using advanced statistical methods.
