Discursive thematization of housing and the different qualities of floor plans and rooms, embedded in heterogeneous contexts, cost and affordability of living space in production and maintenance, flexibility of appropriation and usability in building structures on the scale of the individual apartments and their agglomerations, as well as the critical analysis of spatial planning developments and strategies. New forms of living for aging with dignity should also counteract loneliness in society due to the increasingly flexible and individualized forms of life. In addition to the dreaded custodians, interdisciplinary development and planning teams have to develop new forms of cross-generational living and living spaces for older people in need of care, which allow both retreat into the private sphere and space for a variety of community activities.
