As part of my research, I am concerned with care-ethical and organizational challenges in the implementation of integrative medicine projects. The focus is on Spanish-language literature and field research in Latin America. The development of a care-organization model involving caring-architecture and a holistic vision of the human being, as well as cultural specificities with embeddedness in nature, is at the forefront of this research on the South American continent.

As part of my master's degree in applied ethics, with a focus on medical and nursing ethics and care ethics, I focused my research on ethics and human rights for integrative medicine. Representative of this topic, I researched the Latin American Mamá Cultiva movement for medical cannabis. This revealed a wide range of different forms of violence in health care. At CLAEH University in Uruguay, I researched the educational branch of medical humanism, which seeks to humanize medicine, improve doctor-patient relations, and improve mental hygiene for health professionals.

My book "Mamá Cultiva: Self-Help with Medical Cannabis in Latin America. Human Rights and Ethics for Integrative Medicine" is available from the publisher BoD, ISBN book: 978-3-7562-4626-7, e-book: 978-3-7562-4736-3 Mamá Cultiva: Self-Help with Medical Cannabis in Latin America (bod.de).
