The project "International Research Collaboration on Images of Aging and Ageism in Nursing" started in November 2019 and it is still ongoing. The aim of this international research cooperation between the Institute for Nursing Science at the Medical University of Graz, represented by Priv.-Doz.in Dr.in scient. med. Franziska Großschädl MSc, BSc and Gerhilde Schüttengruber MSc, BSc, and the Institute for Health and Nursing Science at the University of Gothenburg, represented by Birgit Heckemann PhD, RN, Christopher Holmberg PhD, RN and Axel Wolf MBA, PhD, is the topic of to comprehensively research attitudes towards the elderly in nursing practice. This international cooperation is important for the exchange between the researchers and the comparison of the data within the two countries, Sweden and Austria. In May, the project will enter a phase of nationwide online data collection among nurses in order to examine their attitudes towards older people.
